NAVI vs GMGN

Last updated: 2026-09-25

GMGN is a fast memecoin trading terminal with copy trading and smart-money tracking. NAVI is a Solana research app with a rug check, holder maps and alerts. Which fits how you trade.

An honest comparison, as of September 2026. These tools are built for different jobs: GMGN for trading fast, NAVI for deciding whether to trade at all.

The short answer

GMGN is a memecoin trading terminal and set of Telegram bots. Its own tagline is fast trading, fast copy trading and automation. It tracks smart-money and KOL wallets, copies other wallets' trades, snipes launches and tokens posted on X, and sets take-profit and stop-loss orders, across Solana and several EVM chains.

NAVI is a Solana research app that also lets you swap. It is built around checking a token first: a rug check with six contract and liquidity checks, a risk score from price history, a holder bubble map, an AI read and alerts. If speed and automation are what you need, GMGN is the better tool. If you want to slow down and check before you buy, NAVI is.

GMGN details as of 25 September 2026, from docs.gmgn.ai.

Where GMGN is stronger

Execution and automation. Copy trading of up to 10 wallets on Solana with filters, sniping of new launches and of contracts posted on X, automatic selling when the dev sells, trailing take-profit and stop-loss, and limit buys. NAVI has none of these and does not execute trades automatically.

Wallet labels. GMGN labels traders on a token as smart money, KOLs, whales, snipers, the dev and more, lists the first 70 buyers and whether they still hold, and shows an insider ratio. NAVI does not rank or label wallets; its bubble map groups linked holders instead.

Chains. GMGN's bots cover Solana, Ethereum, Base, BNB Chain and Tron. NAVI covers Solana only.

Where NAVI is stronger

Explaining the risk. GMGN shows security flags from third-party data and says they are for reference only. NAVI's token pages give each check a pass, warning or fail with a sentence on what it means, a separate market risk score with published cut-offs, and an explanation for issuer tokens such as USDC or xStocks whose authorities are live by design.

Alerts on risk. With a free NAVI account you get an alert in the app, by browser notification or on Telegram when a token you watch is raised to High risk, as well as price alerts. It is a reason to stay out of a trade, which a trading terminal is not designed to give you.

Guardrails. On NAVI, high-risk tokens can only be swapped against SOL or USDC, and the full swap advisor that flags problems before you confirm is a Pro feature.

Fees and wallets

GMGN charges a 1% fee per transaction, plus the priority fees and tips you choose, which go to validators. Its bots create wallets for you, and its docs say private keys cannot be exported from them.

NAVI takes a platform fee on swaps, shown in the quote details before you confirm, and routes them through Jupiter. You can connect your own wallet, such as Phantom, and sign in the browser, or use the NAVI wallet created with your account. Pro, which lifts limits on AI reads, alerts and map builds, comes with a subscription or free for a month after $10,000 of swap volume through NAVI in 30 days.

Pros

  • GMGN: fastest path from a signal to a trade, with copy trading and sniping
  • GMGN: deep wallet labelling (smart money, KOLs, snipers, dev)
  • NAVI: risk explained check by check, with a market risk score
  • NAVI: alerts that tell you when a token gets riskier

Cons

  • NAVI: no automation, no copy trading, Solana only
  • GMGN: security flags are third-party and marked reference only
  • GMGN: 1% fee on every trade, and bot wallets' keys cannot be exported

Who it's for

  • GMGN: active memecoin traders who want speed, automation and wallet tracking
  • NAVI: traders who want to check a token properly before buying and be warned after
  • Both: vet a token on NAVI, trade it wherever you prefer

Frequently asked questions

Is NAVI a GMGN alternative?
Partly. Both help you look at Solana tokens before you trade, and both let you trade. GMGN is built for speed and automation; NAVI is built for checking risk and has no copy trading or sniping. If you mainly want a trading terminal, NAVI is not a replacement.
What fees does GMGN charge?
GMGN's docs say it charges a 1% handling fee per transaction, with priority fees and tips going to validators, as of September 2026.
Does NAVI have copy trading or smart money tracking?
No. NAVI focuses on the token rather than on following wallets. The whale tracking guide explains how to read large-wallet activity yourself.
