Robinhood Chain in short
What is Robinhood Chain? It is an Ethereum layer 2 network operated by Robinhood and built on the Arbitrum stack (Arbitrum Orbit). Its mainnet launched on 1 July 2026, uses ETH for gas and has the chain ID 4663. Robinhood built it for tokenised real-world assets such as its Stock Tokens, but memecoins now drive a large share of the trading.
For a trader, that means a cheap, fast EVM chain where you use a 0x wallet address, pay gas in ETH and trade on Uniswap pools or on launchpads such as Pons. It is a separate network from Solana, so SOL and Solana tokens do not exist there until you bridge.
Robinhood chain ID, RPC and explorer
These are the network details published in Robinhood's docs. Copy them from this list, never from a random reply or DM.
- Network name: Robinhood Chain
- Chain ID: 4663 (the testnet is 46630)
- RPC URL: https://rpc.mainnet.chain.robinhood.com/
- Currency symbol: ETH
- Block explorer: robinhoodchain.blockscout.com
The explorer is a Blockscout instance at robinhoodchain.blockscout.com. Use it to confirm a contract address, check a transaction or see who holds a token. Blocks arrive about every 0.1 seconds on average, according to Blockscout's stats, so transactions confirm almost at once.
If your wallet shows a different chain ID for "Robinhood Chain", remove that network and add it again with the values above. A wrong RPC is one of the easiest ways to end up on a phishing setup.
Robinhood Chain gas token and what fees look like
The Robinhood Chain gas token is ETH. There is no separate native coin. According to Robinhood's gas docs, each transaction pays two parts bundled into one gas fee:
- L2 execution fee: gas used times the L2 gas price, described as "typically very low and stable".
- L1 data fee: the cost of posting your transaction's data to Ethereum. It rises when Ethereum is busy.
NAVI measured fees on 30 September 2026. The base fee was about 0.022 gwei. A sample of 13 swaps through the Uniswap Universal Router used a median of about 173,000 gas and cost a median of about 0.0000039 ETH, roughly one US cent at an ETH price of about $2,670. The sample ranged from about $0.007 to about $0.06.
A 90-day gas subsidy that covered Robinhood Wallet transactions reportedly ended around 29 September. Third-party wallets such as MetaMask always paid gas. The full cost breakdown of a memecoin trade is in our Robinhood Chain gas fees guide.
What lives on Robinhood Chain
The chain has a few building blocks every trader runs into:
- Stock Tokens: ERC-20 tokens from Robinhood that give economic exposure to US shares and ETFs. They are restricted in many countries. On NAVI, Stock Tokens are information only: NAVI never trades them and never routes a swap through one.
- USDG: the Global Dollar, issued by Paxos, is the main stablecoin. There is no Circle-native USDC on the chain.
- Uniswap: v2, v3, v4 and UniswapX are live, according to the Uniswap blog. Uniswap V4 and V3 were the two largest venues by 24-hour volume on 30 September.
- Pons: an independent memecoin launchpad, not made by Robinhood. Each launch mints 1 billion tokens on a bonding curve that graduates to a locked Uniswap v4 pool at 4.2 ETH. See Pons launchpad explained.
On 30 September 2026, DefiLlama showed about $1.64B of 24-hour DEX volume, about $9.45B over 7 days, about $56B over 30 days and about $1.03B in total value locked.
Why memecoins took over a chain built for stocks
Volume went from just over $200,000 on 1 July to more than $500M by 10 July, Fortune reported. Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev told Fortune the chain is being built for real-world assets, but "it works great for memes, too."
A few data points show how far that went:
- CoinGecko's Robinhood Chain Meme category was worth about $696M on 30 September. Artificial Inu (about $165M) and Cash Cat (about $164M) led it.
- Cash Cat takes its name from what Tenev and cofounder Baiju Bhatt first called their company, according to a New Yorker profile cited by Fortune. It is not a Pons token.
- On 2 to 3 September, Pons earned $5.95M in fees in 24 hours, ahead of pump.fun's $4.64M, according to CoinDesk.
- NAVI counted 51,046 Pons V2 launches from 23 to 30 September. Only 567 graduated, about 1.1%.
That last number matters most. Nearly all launches never reach a real pool.
Who can use what
Anyone with an EVM wallet can connect to the network itself. Access to the apps on top of it is narrower:
- Stock Tokens are not available in the United States or to US persons, and are restricted in Canada, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, per Robinhood's docs. The launch release also lists the UAE and sanctioned jurisdictions.
- Pons states it does not operate in the United Kingdom or in OFAC-sanctioned jurisdictions. pump.fun is also unavailable in the UK.
If a service blocks your region, respect the block. Do not try to get around it.
NAVI is independent. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Robinhood, Pons or pump.fun.
Risks to know before you bridge in
Robinhood Chain is young, and two kinds of risk apply.
Network risk: L2BEAT lists the chain as an Arbitrum Orbit L2 operated by Robinhood. It flags that fewer than 5 external actors can submit challenges, that code upgrades have no delay (marked critical), and that there is no guaranteed way to get a transaction included if the sequencer fails. Withdrawing through the canonical bridge to Ethereum takes about 7 days.
Token risk: an investigation by Wazz (@WazzCrypto), reported by CryptoTimes, found one group took at least $18.43M across 53 launches using bundles of 70 to 200 wallets. Honeypots, copycat tickers and phishing links were widely reported in the chain's first weeks. Read is Robinhood Chain safe for the full picture.
How to get started
- Step 1, wallet: switch on Robinhood Chain in Phantom or add it to MetaMask with the details above. Our Phantom and MetaMask guide walks through both.
- Step 2, ETH for gas: you need a little ETH on Robinhood Chain. Robinhood's docs list the canonical Arbitrum bridge (about 10 minutes in from Ethereum) and faster routes such as Relay, Across, LayerZero/Stargate, Chainlink CCIP and LiFi/0x.
- Step 3, stablecoins: USDC sent through Across arrives as USDG.
- Step 4, check before you buy: match the contract address, not the ticker, and check who holds the supply.

Where NAVI fits
NAVI already covers Solana memecoins end to end. You can check any pump.fun token's bonding status and chart with pump.fun token analysis, run a Solana rug check, watch launches in the new token scanner and swap in Solana swaps. NAVI is non-custodial: your own wallet signs every transaction.
Check any Robinhood Chain token with NAVI's Robinhood Chain token scanner, including a buy-and-sell simulation and Pons curve progress, then browse the Robinhood Chain trending list or trending on all chains.
Also on NAVI: the honeypot checker for a standalone sell test, token analytics for charts, pools and holders, Robinhood Chain swap for trades with the cost shown up front and the Robinhood Chain bridge to move SOL or USDC across.
For fresh Robinhood Chain data, see how many Pons launches survive and Robinhood Chain volume and fees.
Trading Solana as well? See how to spot Solana rug pulls and the memecoin risk checklist.
Trading on NAVI is not available in every region. Pons curve trading is not offered to users in the United Kingdom, Stock Tokens are information only on NAVI, and you should never use a VPN to get around a regional block.
Not financial advice. Most launches go to zero. Only trade what you can afford to lose.
