CASHCAT in short
People searching for CASHCAT Robinhood usually want three things: what the token is, why it has that name and which contract is the real one. Cash Cat (CASHCAT) is a memecoin on Robinhood Chain, the Ethereum layer 2 that Robinhood launched on 1 July 2026. It borrows Robinhood's original company name. The correct contract is 0x020bfc650a365f8bb26819deaabf3e21291018b4.
We found no source showing that Robinhood issued CASHCAT, and we could not verify claims that it is listed in the Robinhood app. Treat it as what it is: an ERC-20 memecoin on a public chain, with the same risks as any other.
Where the CashCat name comes from
Before Robinhood was Robinhood, its cofounders Vlad Tenev and Baiju Bhatt initially called their company CashCat. That detail comes from a New Yorker profile, cited by Fortune in its July report on the chain's memecoin boom.
The name gave the token an easy story. Robinhood Chain went live on 1 July, and daily DEX volume went from just over $200,000 on launch day to more than $500M by 10 July, according to Fortune. CASHCAT became one of the tokens most associated with that first rush.
Robinhood's CEO did not distance the chain from memes either. Fortune quoted Vlad Tenev: "While we're building Robinhood Chain to be the best chain for RWA [real-world assets]… it works great for memes, too." That quote is about the chain, not an endorsement of any token.
CASHCAT market cap from July to September 2026
Here is the path, using only dated figures from named sources:
- 11 July: about $150M market cap, per Fortune.
- 3 September: CoinDesk listed Cash Cat at about $254M in its report on Pons fees.
- 3 September: CoinGecko records CASHCAT's all-time-high price that day at $0.3143. With a supply of 1,000,000,000 tokens, that is about $314M fully diluted.
- 30 September: about $164M, second in CoinGecko's Robinhood Chain Meme category behind Artificial Inu (about $165M).
Two things stand out. First, CASHCAT roughly doubled from July to early September, then gave most of that back by the end of the month. Second, the two 3 September figures do not match. CoinDesk and CoinGecko measured at different times and possibly on different bases (market cap versus fully diluted value). That gap is normal, and it is why a single number never tells the full story.
Where CASHCAT trades and where to find the cashcat price
CASHCAT trades on decentralised exchanges on Robinhood Chain. It is not a Pons launch: a lookup against the Pons V2 factory returns no launch for this contract. So there is no Pons bonding curve to watch; you are looking at ordinary DEX pools. Uniswap v2, v3 and v4 are all live on the chain, per Uniswap's announcement.
For the cashcat price and chart, public screeners are the usual starting point. DexScreener has a Robinhood Chain page, and GeckoTerminal indexes the network as "robinhood". Our own checks found that reported liquidity for the same pool can differ between the two, so compare sources before trusting a depth figure.
Gas is paid in ETH. NAVI's sample of 13 swaps on 30 September cost a median of about 0.0000039 ETH, roughly one US cent. Our Robinhood Chain gas fees guide has the detail.
How to buy CASHCAT without buying a fake
This is not a recommendation to buy. If you decide to trade it, the steps that protect you are the same for any Robinhood Chain token:
- Wallet: Robinhood's docs list Robinhood Wallet and MetaMask or other EVM browser wallets. The network is Robinhood Chain, chain ID 4663, currency ETH. See our wallet setup guide.
- Gas: hold a little ETH on Robinhood Chain before you try to swap.
- Contract: copy 0x020bfc650a365f8bb26819deaabf3e21291018b4 from a source you trust, then compare every character. Do not stop at the first and last four.
- Explorer: open the contract on Blockscout and confirm the name "Cash Cat", symbol CASHCAT and a supply of 1,000,000,000.
- Size: start small, check that a sell works, then decide.

CASHCAT copycats: match the contract, not the ticker
Anyone can deploy a token called Cash Cat with the ticker CASHCAT. Names and tickers are free text. Copycat tickers, honeypots, phishing links and wallet drainers were widely reported in Robinhood Chain's first weeks.
The trick is not new. In a separate case, analyst Wazz found a ring that deployed several identically named tokens within a day and announced the real address only after the hype had built (CryptoTimes report). A popular name like CASHCAT is exactly what a copycat wants to borrow.
Simple rules:
- The only thing that identifies CASHCAT is 0x020bfc650a365f8bb26819deaabf3e21291018b4.
- Ignore contract addresses posted in replies, DMs or group chats.
- CoinGecko lists the project's X account as @cashcat_token. Check addresses against more than one source.
- Treat any ticker with an extra letter, a number or a "2.0" as a different token, because it is one.
What the CASHCAT numbers do not tell you
Market cap is price multiplied by supply. It says nothing about how much you could actually sell without moving the price. A token can show a nine-figure cap while its pools hold far less.
The numbers above also leave out:
- Holder concentration: how much of the supply sits in a few wallets.
- Contract permissions: whether anyone can still change fees, pause transfers or mint.
- Liquidity depth: how large the pools are, which varies by screener.
- Direction: a run from $150M to a $314M peak and back to $164M says nothing about what happens next.
We do not make price predictions, and nothing here suggests CASHCAT will rise or fall. Past moves are history, not a forecast. For a general framework, see the memecoin risk checklist and how to analyse token holders.
