The short answer
To buy memecoins on Robinhood Chain, you need an EVM wallet on the Robinhood Chain network, some ETH for the trade and for gas, and the token's exact contract address. Paste that address into NAVI, read the risk result, then swap ETH for the token in the swap panel and sign with your own wallet. Before a token graduates from the Pons launchpad, NAVI trades it against the bonding curve, labelled Bonding; otherwise the swap routes through KyberSwap.
The six steps below cover each part, with Cash Cat (CASHCAT) as the example.
Step 1: set up a wallet for Robinhood Chain
Robinhood Chain is an Ethereum layer 2 built on the Arbitrum stack, so it uses EVM wallets and 0x addresses. Robinhood's docs name Robinhood Wallet, MetaMask and other EVM browser wallets. NAVI connects Phantom, Rabby, MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet and WalletConnect mobile wallets.
- Phantom: turn on Robinhood Chain in the wallet's network settings. Our guide to adding Robinhood Chain to Phantom has the details. Phantom also holds your Solana account, which helps if you plan to bridge from Solana.
- MetaMask or another EVM wallet: add the network with the values from Robinhood's network docs: network name Robinhood Chain, chain ID 4663, RPC https://rpc.mainnet.chain.robinhood.com/, currency symbol ETH, block explorer robinhoodchain.blockscout.com.
Check the chain ID. A fake RPC or a look-alike network is an easy way to lose funds.
Step 2: fund the wallet with ETH
ETH is the gas token on Robinhood Chain, and most Pons launches are priced in it: 78% of Pons V2 launches in NAVI's count for 23 to 30 September 2026 were ETH-quoted. How you get it depends on where your funds sit today.
- From Solana: use NAVI's bridge. Open the Cross-chain tab next to Swap in the swap panel on any market page, such as the SOL market page, send SOL or USDC and receive ETH or USDG on Robinhood Chain. NAVI's fee is 0.25% (0.20% on Pro), and Relay's costs and gas are shown in the quote before you sign. See how to bridge Solana to Robinhood Chain.
- From Ethereum: the Arbitrum canonical bridge takes about 10 minutes to deposit, according to Robinhood's bridging docs.
- From Base, Arbitrum or another EVM chain: intents-based routes such as Across or Relay bridge ETH in within seconds.
Our bridge comparison covers every route. Keep a little ETH back after you buy. You need it to sell.
Step 3: find the exact contract address
Tickers are not unique. Anyone can deploy a token called CASHCAT, and copycat tickers were widely reported in the chain's first weeks. In the rug ring that analyst Wazz traced, several identically named tokens were deployed within a day, with the real address announced only after the hype, according to CryptoTimes' report on the investigation.
Worked example: how to buy CASHCAT. Cash Cat's contract, as listed by CoinGecko and confirmed on-chain by NAVI (name Cash Cat, symbol CASHCAT, supply 1,000,000,000), is:
0x020bfc650a365f8bb26819deaabf3e21291018b4
As of 30 September 2026, CoinGecko put Cash Cat's market cap at about $164M, second in its Robinhood Chain Meme category. The name nods to Robinhood's history: Vlad Tenev and Baiju Bhatt first called their company CashCat, according to a New Yorker profile cited by Fortune. That history does not make the token connected to Robinhood, and it is not a Pons launch. A list position is not an endorsement either. Read our Cash Cat explainer for more.
Get the address from a source you trust, then compare every character before you paste it anywhere.
Step 4: run NAVI's risk check
Paste the contract into NAVI's Robinhood Chain token scanner. The token page runs NAVI's own checks:
- Buy-and-sell simulation: catches tokens you cannot sell and measures buy and sell tax.
- Owner and privileges: is ownership renounced, and can the owner mint, blacklist, pause or change fees?
- Upgradeable proxy detection: can the code be swapped later?
- Liquidity locks, including Pons-graduated Uniswap v4 pools.
- Holder concentration: top-10 and largest wallet, excluding pools, burns, lockers and the Pons curve.
- Pons bonding status: curve progress to 4.2 ETH, or the pool it graduated into.
The result is Low, Medium or High risk. There is no safe label. A blocked sell or a tax of 25% or more forces High. A check that could not run shows as unverified, and three or more unverifiable core checks mean at least Medium plus an Unknown data badge. Simulations run from one wallet at one block, and an owner can change a contract later, so a Low result is a snapshot, not a promise.
Step 5: swap on NAVI
Use the swap panel on the token page, or start from the Robinhood Chain swap page. NAVI picks the route:
- Before graduation (Pons tokens): the trade goes against the Pons bonding curve and is labelled Bonding. Pons charges a 1% curve fee per trade and creators can add a tax of up to 10%, according to NAVI's reads of the Pons V2 factory. See how to trade the Pons bonding curve.
- Everything else: the swap routes through KyberSwap, which searches liquidity across venues on the chain.
NAVI's swap fee is 0.25% (lower on Pro) and appears before you sign.
Slippage. Slippage is how far the price may move between quote and confirmation before the trade fails. Fresh memecoins move fast, but a very loose setting lets you pay far more than the quote. If the simulation reports a buy tax, your slippage has to cover it, which is itself a warning sign.
Gas. NAVI measured 13 swaps on 30 September 2026 at a median of about 0.0000039 ETH, roughly one US cent at an ETH price of about $2,670. The fee has two parts, per Robinhood's gas docs: an L2 execution fee and an L1 data fee that rises when Ethereum is busy.
Step 6: selling
Selling is the same flow in reverse: token in, ETH out. Your wallet may first ask you to approve the token for spending. Approvals and the swap both cost gas, so keep ETH in the wallet.
If a sell fails, check three things: that you still hold enough ETH for gas, that your slippage covers any sell tax, and whether the token's risk result has changed since you bought. An owner can change fees or pause a contract after launch, which is why NAVI shows owner privileges and never calls a token safe.
Stock Tokens, regions and what NAVI will not trade
Robinhood Chain also carries Stock Tokens: ERC-20 tokens giving economic exposure to US shares and ETFs, issued as tokenised debt securities by Robinhood Assets (Jersey) Limited, per Robinhood's Stock Token docs. They are not available to US persons and are restricted in several countries, including Canada, the United Kingdom and Switzerland. On NAVI, Stock Tokens are information only. NAVI never trades them, never routes a swap through one, and does not trade Pons curves priced in a Stock Token. It also flags look-alike tokens that copy a Stock Token name.
Pons itself says it does not operate in the United Kingdom or OFAC-sanctioned jurisdictions. Trading on NAVI is not available in every region either. Do not try to get around a regional block. NAVI is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Robinhood.
Check a token on NAVI
Start at the Robinhood Chain token scanner, or browse trending and new tokens on the Robinhood Chain hub. If your funds are on Solana, the bridge and the swap live in the same panel. Our Robinhood Chain memecoins list and honeypot check guide cover what to look at next.
Also on NAVI: the honeypot checker for a standalone sell test, token analytics for charts, pools and holders, the Robinhood Chain trending list with a risk level beside each token and the Robinhood Chain bridge to move SOL or USDC across.
