AMC on Robinhood Chain: two different things with one ticker
Search for AMC on Robinhood Chain and you can land on two unrelated assets. One is the AMC Entertainment Stock Token, an ERC-20 from Robinhood's official Stock Token list that tracks the AMC Entertainment share price. The other is A Meme Coin, a memecoin that CoinGecko lists with the symbol AMC and that is named after the AMC meme stock joke. On chain, A Meme Coin's symbol is MEME, not AMC.
They are not the same token and they carry very different risks. A third contract with the name A Meme Coin and the symbol AMC adds to the confusion. A Stock Token is exposure to a share price and is not offered to US persons. A memecoin has no underlying at all. Match the contract address, not the ticker.

What is the AMC Entertainment Stock Token on Robinhood Chain?
Robinhood's own Stock Token list, which had 194 active entries on 5 October 2026, includes AMC Entertainment under the name "AMC Entertainment • Robinhood Token" at 0x05a3d1cd21d0c88145e82600e62e7e496e0f222b. We read the contract on chain and found about 755,000 tokens in existence, 18 decimals, symbol AMC.
Stock Tokens are issued by Robinhood and give economic exposure to US shares and ETFs. Robinhood says they are available in more than 120 countries through Robinhood Wallet. Its Stock Token documentation says they may not be offered in the United States or to US persons and face restrictions in Canada, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, among other places. NAVI shows Stock Tokens as information only. It never trades one and never routes a swap through one, so the Stock Token's NAVI page is a data view, not a trade screen.
A Meme Coin: the AMC memecoin
A Meme Coin is a 1,000,000,000 supply memecoin on Robinhood Chain. Its on-chain name is A Meme Coin and its symbol is MEME. CoinGecko lists it as AMC with the contract 0x385f4f8ae47651ce5f58f5265395a669f8281e18 and links its X account as @amemecoinrh. The name plays on the AMC meme stock.
On 5 October 2026 at about 19:06 UTC CoinGecko showed:
- Price and market cap: about $0.0175 and $17.6M
- Seven day change: down 42.8%
- Distance from high: 88.4% below its 4 September all-time high of about $0.151
- First pool: a Bankr pool created on 3 September, with Uniswap pools following

When the AMC memecoin trades against the AMC Stock Token
Robinhood Chain lets a pool pair a memecoin with a Stock Token instead of a stablecoin or ETH. A Meme Coin is one of the clearest examples. GeckoTerminal showed a Bankr pool for AMC and MEME created on 3 September with about $1.59M of liquidity and about $270,000 of 24 hour volume, and a Bloomberg report on 2 October named MEME paired with tokenized AMC as one of the pairs behind a surge in Stock Token linked memecoin trading.
That is two moving prices in one pool. The memecoin moves on sentiment around the clock. The Stock Token tracks a share price that is formally set in market hours. Whoever holds the other side of the pool can also hold the Stock Token as a treasury, so a move in either asset moves your position. The same mechanic is explained for the biggest example in stock paired memecoins.
GeckoTerminal listed at least seven pools that pair the AMC Stock Token with other memecoins, including MEME, CINEMA, DIRECTOR, SILVERBACK and Apes. Besides the MEME pool, the six others each held under $50,000 of liquidity and traded under $2,500 in 24 hours, so a pool existing is not the same as a market existing.
A second token called A Meme Coin, with the symbol AMC
When we read contracts on 5 October, a second token turned up with the same name as the memecoin and a symbol that exactly matches the Stock Token. It is 0xe0514a254b465c8c804f77230fb1059f84b21e18 (NAVI page): on-chain name A Meme Coin, symbol AMC, 1,000,000,000 supply. CoinGecko does not list it. GeckoTerminal showed a Bankr pool against the AMC Stock Token with about $46,000 of liquidity and about $200 of 24 hour volume, plus about twenty small Uniswap v4 pools, nearly all created in a window of under two hours early on 4 September, most with under $3,000 of liquidity.
NAVI's scanner returned High for it at 19:26 UTC on 5 October. Its reasons: the token reuses a listed Stock Token ticker without being one, most liquidity is not locked, and it is owned by a contract NAVI did not examine. The buy and sell simulation could not run because no supported pool was available, so NAVI treats the sell path as unknown. NAVI's label for a token that reuses a listed Stock Token ticker is "Impersonates a Robinhood Stock Token". That is a pattern flag. It does not establish anyone's intent, and we are not saying the token is a scam.
It does show the problem. The same name and the Stock Token's ticker are both free to copy. NAVI's on-chain count found 16 Pons V2 launches with the symbol AMC between 22 September and 5 October, and 629 of 94,342 launches (0.67%) used the ticker of a Robinhood Stock Token, across 85 different symbols. Many of those are ordinary words or short tickers such as FLY, BULL and NET, so a ticker match alone is not proof of impersonation. The point is that a ticker means nothing here. If you search for AMC and buy the first token that shows the right name and symbol, you can end up in a pool with $46,000 of liquidity instead of one with $1.6M, or in a Stock Token you may not be allowed to hold. How to tell the AMC Stock Token from the AMC memecoin before you trade
- Use the contract, not the ticker. The Stock Token is 0x05a3d1cd21d0c88145e82600e62e7e496e0f222b. A Meme Coin is 0x385f4f8ae47651ce5f58f5265395a669f8281e18
- Check the symbol you are actually buying. A wallet will show AMC for the Stock Token and MEME for A Meme Coin, while CoinGecko labels A Meme Coin as AMC
- Check your region. Stock Tokens are not available to US persons and are restricted in several countries, while a memecoin has no such rule from Robinhood but is still a high risk asset
- Check what the tool offers. On NAVI the Stock Token is information only, while A Meme Coin can be checked and, where trading is available, swapped
- Beware lookalikes. A second token named A Meme Coin uses the symbol AMC, and anyone can deploy another. A symbol means nothing on a chain where tickers are free text

Is A Meme Coin safe? What NAVI's risk check shows
NAVI's Robinhood Chain scanner checked A Meme Coin at 19:14 UTC on 5 October 2026 and returned Low. Low means lower risk, not safe.
- A simulated buy and sell both went through, including from a second wallet
- Measured buy, sell and transfer tax of 0%, with a hidden fee of about 0.5% per side
- No known privileged functions, and not a proxy, so the code cannot be swapped out
- Source code verified
- About $1.6M of liquidity in the main pool
- Owned by another contract (0xeb7c034704ef8dcd2d32324c1545f62fb4ad0862), which NAVI did not examine. It may be a multisig or a timelock
- LP lock could not be determined, and holder concentration is unknown because recent transfers cover only 15% of supply
